- Description
- The FAA has a requirement for repair services for an estimated quantity of 13 each Klystron Tubes, NSN 5960-00-390-5670. These tubes are applicable to the Air Route Surveillance Radar (ARSR-3), which is an integral part of the Air Traffic Control System. Repairs will be made in accordance with manufacturer's specifications, VA-963A Klystron Drawing 354D362. The requirement is for a base year and includes option provisions to renew for four additional 1-year periods, to be exercised at the sole discretion of the FAA. The FAA intends to solicit and negotiate only with Communications and Power Industries (CPI), Palo Alto, CA in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4. A market survey was posted on the FAA's Contract Opportunities web site July 10, 2009, through July 24, 2009. The results of this survey supported the determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm. This announcement is for information purposes only.
