- The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (The Kennedy Center) is a living presidential memorial mandated by Congress to present and produce the finest performing arts from this country and abroad. It is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, but because the Center is a national memorial, it receives federal funds for building maintenance and operations. The largest cultural facility of its kind, it consists of 1.5 million square feet situated on 17 acres. It houses six theaters of varying sizes, two restaurants, administrative offices and parking garages. It attracts over four (4) million visitors each year with performances and other special events offered 365 days of the year. The Kennedy Center seeks a contractor to perform monthly maintenance services, annual preventive maintenance repair services and 24-hour emergency service for the two (2) Cleaver Brooks Gas-Fired Boilers and Associated Equipment.
