- NASA/JSC plans to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the Renovation of Building12.The order of magnitude for this procurement is greater than $10 Million, and the effortshall be completed in 626 calendar days after the notice to proceed.The NAICs Code and small business size are 236220 and $33.5 Million in revenue,respectively.The anticipated release date of this IFB is on or about March 9, 2010 with an anticipatedoffer closing on or about April 12, 2010.The firm date for receipt of bids or proposals will be stated in the IFB. Specificationsand Drawings will be available from the list of sources identified in the IFB.A procurement specific website has been established for this acquisition at:http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/rb12/ All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.An ombudsman has been appointed See NASA specific Note B.The solicitation and documents related to this procurement [with exceptions of the specsand drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a WorldWide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed by a WWW browser application. The Internetsite, or URL, for the NASA/JSC Business Opportunities page ishttp://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=73#139366 Prospective Offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offerors responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any). Any referenced notes may be viewed at the URLslinked above.FAR 52.236-27 Site Visit (Construction) (Feb 1995) Alternate I (Feb 1995) will beincluded in the IFB. Detailed information regarding the organized site visit will beprovided in the IFB.The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations andConditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result ofthe IFB. Accordingly, bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the workwill be performed.All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing.
