Description
RECOVERY - PER FAR 5.7 THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT NUMBER(S): MWH AMERICAS, INC W9127N08D00030014 Portland District Corps of Engineers issued task order number 0014, using recovery act funding to contract number W9127N-08-D-0003 awarded to MWH Americas, Inc. for the following: The Contractor shall provide engineering/design services necessary to complete an economic/ benefit-cost ratio analysis, prepare a complete mechanical design package for complete turbine rehabilitation, and develop one set of Plans and Specifications (P&S) for the Denison Hydro Turbine Rehabilitation project, located on the Red River, approximately five miles north of Denison, Texas. The Project is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Tulsa District (CESWT) and consists of two S. Morgan Smith Francis turbines with 191.5 diameter runners. The turbine runner has 15 blades and the turbine has 20 wicket gates. The wicket gate pad height is approximately 69.375 inches. The units turn in a clockwise rotation when viewed from above at 90 rpm. The turbines have a rated head of 102.5 ft and a rated output of 56,000 hp. The generators are rated at 53.5 MW. The total amount of Recovery Act Funding used for this task order is $313,768.00.
