- This is a Request for Information (RFI) for National Airspace System (NAS) Voice System (NVS). The responses to this RFI will be used for informational purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SCREENING INFORMATION REQUEST (SIR) OR REQUEST FOR OFFER (RFO) OF ANY KIND. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The purpose of this RFI is to solicit information the FAA may consider in choosing how to conduct a potential procurement, including the development of a requirements document and acquisition strategy. However; this RFI does not commit the FAA to any future acquisition activity. This RFI is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a commitment or a promise to contract by the FAA. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for this effort are: 517110 VoIP service providers, using own operated wired telecommunications infrastructure 517919 VoIP service providers, using client-supplied telecommunications connection Responses must be submitted electronically to Kathy.Sthill@FAA.gov on/by 12:00 Noon EST on Friday, February 19th 2010. The responses must be in MS Word format. Attachments, diagrams, or other supporting information may be submitted in.PDF formats. No oral submissions will be accepted. All costs associated with the preparation or submission of responses is the responsibility of the potential source. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to this RFI, therefore any cost associated with the RFI submission is solely at the interested vendor's expense.
