- The project consists of maintenance dredging Rudee Inlet Entrance Channel, Depositional Basin and Sandtrap. All work shall be performed by hydraulic dredge and pipeline. The Entrance Channel shall be dredged to depths of 10 and 12 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth at each respective depth; the Depositional Basin to depths of 10 feet and 20 feet MLLW with 2 feet of allowable overdepth at each respective depth; and Sandtrap to a depth of 18 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The Contractor shall place the dredged material and construct finished elevations and grades to the tolerances indicated and specified. The Contractor shall be required to maintain the beach and associated work areas in a manner to ensure the safe access and egress of the public for the duration of the contract. Including allowable overdepth and estimated accretion to 4 March 2010, the project involves maintenance dredging approximately 171,600 cubic yards of material. This procurement is unrestricted. NAICS Code 237990 applies to this procurement. Submission requirements (plans/specs) will be available on/about 5 February 2010 via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov). Search on W91236% for solicitations issued by Norfolk District. No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered Vendors with https://www.fbo.gov in order to download plans and specifications. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access to FedBizOpps. CCR Registration must also be active and current to be eligible for contract award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov.
