- This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice Only. This is not a request for proposal. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this SS is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for establishment of calibration service of boiler plant instrumentation. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Northern Indiana Health Care System (VANIHCS), Fort Wayne, IN is conducting market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Hubzone Small Businesses, or 8(a) firms capable of performing the requirements to warrant a solicitation set-aside. The proposed solicitation is for establishment of semi-annual calibration service of boiler plant instrumentation at the Marion, IN campus. Contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment and testing instruments to perform semi-annual calibration service of boiler plant instrumentation. All work to be performed by licensed and trained service technician for the Hays Cleveland UPAC Control System. This instrumentation is used for computer monitoring and control of boilers. Estimated solicitation date is on or around February 2010 with an estimated award date of March 1, 2010. The intended contract base period is anticipated to be 1 base year with four 1-year options, depending on Market Research.
