- PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIAL QUALIFIED SOURCES AND OBTAIN INDUSTRY COMMENTS ON THE PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS). RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. Travis AFB (TAFB) is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide service and repair of surgical instruments and scopes that are used in, (but not limited to), the following clinics and operating rooms; Otolaryngology, Laparoscopic, Plastic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Oral Maxillofacial, General, Urology, Vascular and Cardiothoracics at David Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, CA. Contractor will be responsible for servicing a large assortment of surgical instruments extending from but not limited to Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) instruments to micro instruments. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, Cage Code,and size of business pursuant to North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) 811219. Please review the attached performance work statement, and respond to the following questions: 1. In accordance with the attached perfomance work statement, how would your company propose to provide the services requested? 2. What would the unit of issue for services provided be? Would invoicing be monthly, hourly, or by clinic? 3. Does your company have on-site maintenance and repair training available? 4. Can you provide all or none of the services describe in the attached performance work statement? 5. What manufactures and equipment does your company service? 6. Do you currently have a FSS schedule or BPA for this service? This is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be emailed to the attention of victoria.torres@travis.af.mil by close of business 23 February 2010. This notice is to help TAFB in determining potential sources only. No solicitation is currently available. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced later in the FBO and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. A response to this sources sought synopsis is NOT a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
