Description
This Request for Information is in support of Market Research performed by the Rock Island Contracting Center to determine interest in a one year, firm fixed price, service contract to conduct Vehicle Maintenance Training to Ministry of Interior (MOI) Iraq mechanics at MOI Maintenance Facilities in Iraq. Purpose of the contract: The Contractor shall train vehicle mechanics from various directorates within the Iraq Ministry of the Interior (MOI) in vehicle maintenance for Non-Tactical Vehicles and M1114 Up-Armored HMMWVs. Training will be conducted in 6 or 7 week sessions to train MOI mechanics to be maintenance instructors, i.e., train the trainer. Contractor instructors will be required to be certified in ASE Certified Master Mechanics or Am General certification as HMMWV mechanic or U.S. Army MOS 63B for HMMWV training would be considered. Attached are copies of draft performance work statements (PWS) providing some details of the requirements. It would be the Government's intent to combine both these requirements under one contract. Please note these are drafts and are subject to change. I am interested in seeking vendors that would be capable of performing this effort within Iraq. In order to make this determination, all interested vendors shall send to the POC listed below a statement which outlines your capabilities to meeting the PWS requirements. The capabilities summary shall include the company's capabilities, including a brief description of facilities, personnel and past experience as it relates to the MOI Vehicle Maintenance Training requirement. This Request for Information is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Request for Information or otherwise pay for information solicited. RESPONSE DATE: All responses to this request must be received by COB Tuesday, 16 February 2010. Interested parties shall contact the government POC for any additional questions. POC: Ms. Cheryl Nielsen, Procuring Contracting Officer, (309) 782-8693, Cheryl.nielsen@us.army.mil.
