- Description
- YOUR RESPONSE IS CRITICAL TO HELP DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT TO SET-ASIDE THIS PROCUREMENT FOR 8(a) SMALL BUSINESS, HUBZone SMALL BUSINESS, SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESS OR SMALL BUSINESS. NEGATIVE RESPONSES ARE ALSO REQUESTED. RESPONSES DUE BY 2:00 PM TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2010. This is a Sources Sought to determine if a procurement should be set aside for firms in designated Small Business categories. The NAICS Codes used in this search is primarily 238290 (Size Standard is $14.0 Million) We are currently seeking qualified Small Business firms: (8(A), HUBZone or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned) and other small businesses to submit competitive bids to provide ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES in several federal buildings: USPO & Courthouse at the Burlington FB in Burlington, USPO & Customhouse at the FB in St. Albans, Winston Prouty FB in Essex Junction, Swanton BPS Headquarters, Highgate Springs BPS, and USPO and Courthouse at the Montpelier FB, all in the state of Vermont. Several of the buildings are similar to modern multi-story office buildings located in downtown areas. Other buildings are single story buildings in an urban setting or they are border stations in more rural areas. They contain several elevators (Dover, Otis, Baystate), chairlifts, and a dumb waiter. This will be a Fixed Price Contract. The work will include routine scheduled maintenance and repair services, as well as emergency call-back services. Emergency call-back services will have short response times specified in the contract. Contractors will be requested to submit an offer for the work as part of the award process. The contract will require that the Contractor provide all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, management, and supervision to accomplish the work and it shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and assure effective completion of all services described within the individual contracts. Contractors will be required to be bonded and insured prior to start of work. Please respond to the following questions by February 16, 2010. Failure to answer any of these questions will result in your firm not being considered as part of this market research. 1. Briefly, identify past experience which demonstrates that your firm is qualified to perform elevator maintenance and repair work in government facilities. Please include points of contact and telephone numbers. 2. If this procurement is set-aside for 8(a), HUBZone or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, which type of set-aside(s) will your firm be able to compete under? 3. Does your firm qualify to compete under a total small business set-aside under NAICS 238290, and if a total small business set-aside is conducted will your firm compete? 4. If you are not interested in this work at the above specific location, please specify what type of work, the location of the work, and dollar range you would be interested in for future procurement opportunities within New England. Please send your timely submissions to me, Robert Budlong, via e-mail.
