Description
These generators are to supply battery charging backup during winter months when there is not sufficient solar energy to charge the radio site battery banks at six key radio sites located on Mount Hood and the Gifford Pinchot National Forests. The sites are critical to the radio systems operation and needed to ensure personnel safety and search and rescue during winter months. 6 self-igniting, thermoelectric generators designed to work with solar charging systems for power back when solar array is insufficient to charge the radio site. Required is a charging capacity of 60-400 watt units, a module to monitor the battery system voltage and self start the generator when the battery voltage falls to a predetermined set point, and shut the generator down when battery voltage rises to another predetermined set point, putting the generator back into standby/monitor mode. Should include a bench stand. System needs to opearate in unsheltered conditions year-round. 1 year repair/replace warranty required. Quote should include shipping charges to: Gifford Pinchot NF Attn: Thomas Taddicken 10600 NE 51st Circle Vancouver, WA 98682. Technical questions should be directed to Tom Taddicken at 360-891-5031. Tom will be unavailable until February 15, I am therefore extending this response date to Feb. 17.
