- CANCELLATION NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W26AL302280752 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-44. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 314991 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. INSTALL A THREE INCH CONDUIT BETWEEN CURRENT LOCATION OF FIBER IN BLDG 515 TO NEW COMPUTER ROOM. TERMINATE AT WALL MOUNTED LADDER RACK SYSTEM. EXTEND ALL SINGLE MODE AND MULTIMODE FIBER FROM CURRENT LOCATION IN BLDG 515 COMMUNICATION ROOMS TO NEW COMMUNICATION ROOM IN BLDG 515 THROUGH CONDUIT, LABELING PER GOVERNMENT LABEL PLAN. EXISTING FIBER EQUIPMENT WILL REMAIN ACTIVE AND OPERATIONAL UNTIL NEW FIBER IS IN PLACE.THE CONTRACTOR WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING AND INSTALLING THE CONDUIT. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, USA ACC MICC Fort Eustis intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. USA ACC MICC Fort Eustis is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. Who is responsible for installing the 3" conduit, there's someconflicting information between fedbid and the SOW. The renovationcontractor will be installing this conduit. 2. Is there only one 3" conduit being installed? The number of cablesrequested will not fit through a single 3" conduit. Only one 3"conduit. 3. For item 003, "SHELF CENTER MOUNT SHELF FOR 19" RACK" is this thedistribution panel? The shelf is for the servers being placed back inthe rack. Distribution panels will be wall mounted. 3. The provided blueprint shows 21" X 32" rack, while FedBid line item002 states 84" tall by 19" wide. The the 21" x 32" existing or are weto provide this as well. If we are to provide, do we need the 84" x 19"rack as well? We need three 84" high X 19" wide open racks asspecified. 4. Are we re-using existing equipment during cut over, or is it GFE?Yes - reusing existing GFE. 5. For item 2 on the SOW, what type of connectors are required for thefiber optic cables and are these connections GFE? LC - contractorprovided 6. The patch cords called out are for existing equipment, what are weusing from new cable termination to existing equipment? Patch cords asidentified. 7. To save rack space and cost, DTREDS can combine the two 24 strandmultimode and 36 strand multimode into an additional 96 distributionpanel. This change will eliminate the need for two additionaldistribution panels.The 96 distribution panel is fine. 8. It is assumed that the contractor will only provide the line itemslisted on FedBid, i.e. the various patch cables, rack equipment, andinstallation/testing labor. The single/multimode fiber will be providedby the government as well as all connections, distribution panels, andsplice points. If this is incorrect, please let us know. That is notcorrect. We are requesting that the vendor provide all hardware neededto extend fiber from splice to new computer room and terminate at bothends, including, but not limited to, LC distribution panels, splicepoints, fiber, etc.
