Description

Limited Source Justification - Open Market - Applied Biosystems Inc. This is a NOTICE OF SOLE SOURCE AWARD under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule Program on the basis of FAR 8.405-6(b): (1) "because only one source is capable of responding due to the unique or specialized nature of the work". The Centers for Disease Control, CDC/OID/NCIRD/DVD/GRVLB, 1600 Clifton Road NE, Building 18, Room 7-108, Mailstop G04, Atlanta, Georgia 30333, has a requirement to procure the following item: AGPathID One-Step RT-PCR respiratory diagnostics equipment : AGPathID One-Step RT-PCR (500 rxn), part #4387424, quantity of ten (10) AGPathID One-Step RT-PCR (1000 rxn), part #4387391, quantity of forty-five (45) The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) GSA Delivery Order to Applied Biosystems Inc., 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, California 94404. Applied Biosystems Inc. is the sole developer/manufacturer/distributor of AGPathID One-Step RT-PCR, their proprietary respiratory diagnostics equipment. The Government will consider all responses received within seven (7) days after October 25, 2010, the date this Notice is publicized in FedBizOps (FBO). The Government has the sole right to determine not to compete this Delivery Order based on responses to this Notice. Interested vendors may submit their interest in, capability to respond to the requirement, and any clear and convincing evidence supporting competition for future procurements NO LATER THAN 11:30 am Eastern Time on November 01, 2010.
