Description
The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541330. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. The Port Hueneme Division Naval Surface Warfare Center (PHD NSWC), Port Hueneme, California, intends to issue a request for proposal to Alion Science and Technology Corporation Integration Solutions Group (ISG) on a sole source basis for a six (6) month period of performance to provide installation Design Services Allocation (DSA), system hardware design services, installation support, and long lead material kitting in support of the Land Attack Department Fleet Modernization Program. Services shall include, but will not be limited to the support of the Tomahawk Weapons Control System (TWCS), Tomahawk All-Up Round (AUR) System, Tomahawk Command and Control System (TC2S), TC2S Communications System (TCOMMS), Naval Fires Control System (NFCS), MK 86 Gun Weapon System, Supporting Arms Coordination Center “ Automation (SACC-A) System, MK 160 Gun Computer System, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Zumwalt (DDG-1000) Class Ships, and the Harpoon Weapon System (HWS). Support services are required at PHD NSWC, Port Hueneme, CA; San Diego, CA; Mobile, AL; Norfolk, VA; and Washington, D.C.. Services are currently being provided by Alion Science and Technology Corporation ISG under Seaport-e contract N000178-04-D-4066-L601, which ends 13 February 2011. The request for proposal will be issued on a sole-source basis to Alion Science and Technology Corporation Integration Solutions Group (ISG) in the interest of economy, efficiency and continuity of services pending award of the competitive follow-on procurement in Seaport-e. Alion Science and Technology Corporation ISG is the only contractor who can technically and functionally continue this critically needed support without any disruption of services. No other contractor can perform these services for the six (6) month period without prior preparation and staffing. Period of performance: 14 February 2011 through 13 August 2011.
