- VISN 1 Contracting Activity intends to negotiate and procure on a sole source basis the items listed below for the Boston V Healthcare System. St. Jude Medical, located in Saint Paul, MN is the sole manufacturer of these items. Items are called in, as needed. QUANTITIES ARE NOT GUARANTEED AND MAY FLUCTUATE DEPENDING ON PATIENT NEEDS. Estimated usage until March 31, 2011 for the Boston VA Healthcare System is as follows: 1.Livewire steerable electrophysiology catheter: Length 95 cm, Tip 2 mm a.Estimated usage of (18) until March 31, 2011 2.Response electrophysiology catheter: Length 120 cm, Tip 2 mm a.Estimated usage of (12) until March 31, 2011 3.Agilis NxT Steerable Introducer: Medium Curl with 98 cm BRK-1 Transseptal Needle Kit a.Estimated usage of (3) until March 31, 2011 4.NavX Electrode Kits a.Estimated usage of (15) until March 31, 2011 This procurement is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other vendor or product will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, St. Jude Medical is the only manufacturer of these items. The NAICS is 339112 with a size standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Specialist within five (5) business days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements.
