- Description
- The medications development program of the National Institute on Drug Abuse intends to solicit proposals to coordinate the genetics component of clinical trials focused on drug addiction treatment, to conduct the related DNA and RNA analyses on blood samples collected from the studies, to interpret the data, and to write high-quality reports and publications that summarize important findings. Genetic analyses may include, but shall not be limited, to the use of GeneChip® Mapping 500K array sets (or an equivalent) for genotyping and the use of Human Genome U-133 Plus 2.0 arrays (or an equivalent) for expression analyses. The genetics component of the clinical trials will focus on the identification of pharmacogenetic factors that predict patient response to medications and/or between-subject variations in pharmacokinetics, as well as the identification of biomarkers for addiction. We anticipate a task order, cost reimbursement type contract for a period of five years. RFP No. N01DA-11-8900 will be available electronically on or about January 28, 2011. All information required for the submission of an offer will be contained in or accessible through the RFP package. Response to the RFP will be due on or about March 14. NIDA will consider proposals submitted by any responsible offeror. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This advertisement does not commit the Government to award a contract.
