Description
PR No: FD2060-11-31228 Solicitation No: FA8532-11-R-31228 This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract for a Duct Adapter Kit, Air Conditioner, NSN: 4130-01-141-4824QS, applicable to standardized Air Force equipment. The Adapter Kit is a cooling air quick disconnect type adapter to facilitate hook-up of the hose to the Ground Service fitting on the Air Conditioner. Approximate Dimensions: Height: 8 in, Width: 8 in, Depth: 1/8 mesh screen. Kit is manufactured using various materials. Quantity: Basic year - 2 each and 4 options for a quantity of 1 to 10 each. Options may be exercised for Air Force (AF) requirements. Place of delivery for basic - Ellsworth AFB, SD. Place of delivery for Options: Various locations. DEL: 210 days after award/exercise of option, as applicable. Drawings will be made available online, when the RFP is posted. This procurement will use the Past Performance Information Retrieval System-Statistical Reporting (PPIRS-SR) in the evaluation of past performance. Offerors are encouraged to review their data to ensure accuracy. It is anticipated that the RFP will be released on or around Friday, 28 January 2011. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation at www.fedbizopps.gov only. All questions regarding the RFP and/or the data packages must be submitted in writing to Krystle.Wilkerson@robins.af.mil with copy to Kathryn.Canady@robins.af.mil. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Based upon market research, the Government is not using policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. IAW IG5305.207(c)(91)(3) Note F: This acquisition may/does involve technology that has a military or space application. The only US contractors who may participate are those that are certified and registered with DLSC (1-800-352-3572) and have a legitimate business purpose. US contractors must submit a copy of their current, approved DD Form 2345 with their request for solicitation. The form, including instructions for completing the form, is available at http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/infomgt/forms/forminfo/forminfopage2220.html. The solicitation/data package will be mailed to the data custodian identified in block 3 of the DD Form 2345. The extent of foreign participation has not yet been determined. MOU country sources must contact the Contracting Officer within 15 calendar days of the date of this synopsis notice to receive a copy of the solicitation at the time it is initially issued. Issuance of the RFP will not be delayed to review requests from MOU country sources received after 15 days or from non-MOU country sources. Nothing in this notice contradicts other restrictions, identified in the synopsis notice or solicitation, regarding eligible sources (e.g., if this is a small-business set-aside, foreign sources may not participate as potential prime contractors but could, if otherwise eligible, participate as subcontractors). IAW FAR 5.207(c)(15)(i), All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which will be considered by the agency This is a small business set-aside. Buy American Act applies.
