Drawing VII Drawing VI Drawing V Drawing IV Drawing III Drawing II Drawing I The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, WMEC Product Line, will be issuing a solicitation to manufacture the following items: 1) NSN 3120 01-233-3262 Bearing Sleeve Coast Guard Part/Drawing Reference: 618 WMEC-161-001 PC1 Drawing: 618WMEC-161-001 Qty. 5 each Description: Flanged Strut Bearing, Horizontally Split. Materials: Synthetic rubber facing with a cast non-ferrous metal housing manufactured to MIL-DTL-17901C, class II. The bearing shall be manufactured to dimensions shown on Coast Guard drawing 618 WMEC-161-001 piece 1, for an 12" shaft sleeve diameter. Deviations to the dimensions shown are the increase of the O.D of the shell to 15.125" +.030" -.000" eliminating the steps, and the flange shall not be drilled for through or jacking bolt holes. 2) NSN 3120 01-115-3451 Bearing Sleeve Coast Guard Part/Drawing Reference: 618WMEC-161-001 PC2 Drawing: 618WMEC-161-001 Qty. 3 each Description: Flanged Strut Searing, Horizontally Split. Materials: Synthetic rubber facing with a cast non-ferrous metal housing manufactured to MIL-DTL-17901C, class II. The bearing shall be manufactured to dimensions shown on Coast Guard drawing 618 WMEC-161-001 piece 2, for an 11.875" shaft sleeve diameter. Deviations to the dimensions shown are the increase of the O.D of the shell to 14.875" +.030" -.000" eliminating the steps, and the flange shall not be drilled for through or jacking bolt holes. Note: Part Number 615WPC4302-1-PIECE-2 has been superseded by 618WMEC-161-001 PC2. 3) NSN 3120 01-189-1949 Bearing, Stern Tube Coast Guard Part/Drawing Reference: 905-WMEC-243-002 PC 11 Drawing: 905WMEC-243-002 Qty. 4 each Description: Flanged Stern Tube Bearing, Horizontally Split. Materials: Synthetic rubber facing with a cast non-ferrous metal housing manufactured to MIL-DTL-17901C, class II. The bearing shall be manufactured to dimensions shown on Coast Guard drawing 905WMEC-243-002 Piece 11, for an 12.125" shaft sleeve diameter. Deviations to the dimensions shown are the increase of the O.D of the shell to 21.250 +.030" -.000" (top of the lands) & 15.870" +.030" -.000" at the root of the lands, and the flange shall not be drilled for through or jacking bolt holes. 4) NSN 3120 01-189-1087 Bearing Strut Coast Guard Part/Drawing Reference: 905-WMEC-243-002 PC 13 Drawing: 905WMEC-243-002 Qty. 5 each Description: Flanged Strut Bearing, Horizontally Split. Materials: Synthetic rubber facing with a cast non-ferrous metal housing manufactured to MIL-DTL-17901C, class II. The bearing shall be manufactured to dimensions shown on Coast Guard drawing 905WMEC-243-002 Piece 13, for an 12.125" shaft sleeve diameter. Deviations to the dimensions shown are the increase of the O.D of the shell to 15.250 +.030" -.000" eliminating the steps, and the flange shall not be drilled for through or jacking bolt holes. 5) NSN 3120 01-189-1088 Bearing, Strut Coast Guard Part/Drawing Reference: 905-WMEC-243-002 PC 12 Drawing: 905WMEC-243-002 Qty. 5 each Description: Flanged Strut Bearing, Horizontally Split. Materials: Synthetic rubber facing with a cast non-ferrous metal housing manufactured to MIL-DTL-17901C, class II. The bearing shall be manufactured to dimensions shown on Coast Guard drawing 905WMEC-243-002 Piece 12, for an 12.125" shaft sleeve diameter. Deviations to the dimensions shown are the increase of the O.D of the shell to 15.250 +.030" -.000" eliminating the steps, and the flange shall not be drilled for through or jacking bolt holes. 6) NSN 3120 01-358-1048 Outboard Stern Tube Bearing Sleeve Coast Guard Part/Drawing Reference: 618-WMEC-244-003 Piece 22 Qty. 12 each Description: Flanged stern tube bearing, horizontally split. Materials: Synthetic rubber facing with a cast non-ferrous metal housing manufactured to MIL-DTL-17901C, class II. The bearing shall be manufactured to dimensions shown on NAVSEA drawing 803-1385664 piece 19, table VII for an 11 1/2" shaft sleeve diameter. Deviations to the dimensions shown within table VII are as follows: 7B1= 14.312" +.030" -.000", 7C = 20 5/8", 7D= 20". The flange shall not be drilled for through or jacking bolt holes. Note: Part Number 618-WMEC-4301-4-D Piece 22 has been superseded by 618-WMEC-244-003 PC 22. ***A) OFFERS NEED NOT BE QUALIFIED TO QPL-17901-QPD DATED 6/12/2008. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS PER SECTION 3.1, 4.2 AND 6.3 OF MIL-DTL-17901C (SH) ARE WAIVED. TO BE CONSIDERED TECHNICALLY ACCEPTABLE, OFFERORS SHALL SUBMIT A FULL DATA PACKAGE INCLUDING DRAWINGS, LITERATURE, AND ANY QUALIFICATIONS WHICH CAN BE VERIFIED TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ABOVE MILITARY SPECIFICATION WITH THEIR OFFER. B) SECTION 4.6.6.2 (FRICTION TEST) AND 4.6.6.3 (WEAR TEST) OF MIL-DTL-17901C (SH) ARE WAIVED. C) SECTION 4.3 (CONFORMANCE INSPECTION) SHALL BE PERFORMED ON ALL BEARINGS..*** ***The cited part numbers are references to the NSN's. Materials and dimensions shall be in accordance with this document and the applicable Coast Guard Drawings and Military Specifications.*** Additional Requirements: I. The Contractor shall provide the Coast Guard with a final dimensional and photographic inspection report for review and acceptance seven (7) Calendar days prior to Quality Assurance inspections. II. A Coast Guard Quality Assurance representative shall visit the contractor's facility for verification of the conformance inspections after acceptance of final inspection report by the Contract Administrator. III. At a minimum, the shipping container shall consist of a box constructed of ¾" plywood, totally enclosed, with internal and external bracing. Wooden blocking shall be incorporated to prevent item from movement during multiple shipments. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about 20 January 2011. This date is estimated at best, and it is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizopps on a regular basis for the solicitation and any amendments. It is anticipated that a single contract will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures as prescribed in FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and FAR Part 6.203 Set-asides for Small Business Concerns as a result of the solicitation.
