- Licensed Mechanic Support for DHC-2 The objective of this solicitation and any resulting contract is to obtain maintenance support in the form of an FAA licensed mechanic with experience performing maintenance on DHC-2 MK1 Beaver aircraft. The components of work: The licensed mechanic will work under the direction of a USFS Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) and be available for a specified number of days (TBD) between February 15, 2022, and March 31, 2023.� The USFS must approve the plan, schedule, and timeline prior to execution. The mechanic must be FAA �licensed mechanic that meets the following: (i) At least 10 years working as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P) (ii) At least ten years� experience working as an engine and airframe mechanic on DHC-2 MK1 Beaver. (iii) Familiarity with engine and airframe DHC-2 OEM and equipment manufacture manuals. (iv) Familure with DHC-2 engine and airframe Airworthiness directives, service bullitens and associated technical directives. (v)� Experience with DHC-2 OEM inspection Program. The Resulting Contract will be a single firm fixed price IDIQ.
