- Description
- The USAID Economic Foundations for a Resilient Armenia Activity is to provide support for strengthening key economic actors within both the public and private sector to exercise economic stewardship and ultimately build a more resilient Armenian economy. The activity goal will be achieved through activities under the following components. Improved institutional and human capacity in key government partners to deliver effective economic stewardship Greater economic resilience through improved export competitiveness of targeted sectors� Improved productive use of financial capital in support of catalytic sectoral investments Supporting Armenia�s response to economic shocks and opportunities The proposed activity will address priority themes such as inclusive development and�private sector engagement. In addition, it will focus on economic empowerment and inclusion of marginalized people, as well as addressing gender barriers and other forms of inequality and social exclusion, women economic empowerment, and protection of their rights. Further, the activity will facilitate, support, and address the impacts of global and domestic crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, conflict, and food insecurity.
