- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), NAS Patuxent River, MD, intends to contract on a sole source basis with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation � Aerospace Systems (NGAS), San Diego, CA, for non-recurring (NRE) & recurring tasks required to upgrade and procure new Australian country-coded navigation hardware to support Australian Triton Unmanned Aircraft and subsequent aircraft operations post-delivery. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition� under Title 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.�� As the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the MQ-4C Triton UAS, NGAS is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, engineering expertise, and technical data required to meet the Government�s requirements within the program�s cost and schedule constraints.� Note: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
