- Description
- The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) issues this Request for Information (RFI) package to obtain information about companies that can provide labor support to fulfill the Government's requirements for Military Personnel Records Reference Correspondence Services. This RFI is intended strictly for Market Research. It is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Potential solutions presented may or may not lead to a solicitation.� Any decision to proceed with a solicitation would be based, in part, on available funding. To safeguard its workforce and prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus during the first two years of the pandemic, NARA implemented numerous safeguards, including the implementation of occupancy limitations in its facilities.� Because most records were available only in analog format and could not be processed remotely, a large backlog of requests developed.� NARA is seeking contractor support in reducing the backlog. The contractor shall respond to public requests for information or reproduction of documents contained in Official Military Personnel Folders (OMPFs), Service Treatment Records (STRs), Clinical Records, and related records in accordance with NPRC's Case Reference Guide (CRG).� NARA has a requirement for administrative labor support services at NPRC facilities listed in paragraph 1.0, Introduction.� NARA requires contractor support to process requests received by NPRC.� Reference the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS).
