- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY, SERVICES, AND INNOVATION, ENGINEERING & TRANSMISSION DIRECTORATE, BROADCAST TECHNOLOGIES DIVISION U.S. AGENCY FOR GLOBAL MEDIA Shortwave Transmitter Systems for Kuwait Product Service Code:�5820 � Radio and Television Communications Equipment, Except Airborne NAICS Code:�334220 - Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing Place of Performance:� Kuwait This is a Sources Sought Notice and should not be construed as a solicitation announcement. The U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM), Office of Technology, Services, and Innovation Broadcast Technologies Division, Engineering and Transmission Directorate (T/E/B) is seeking preliminary information, for market research purposes only, from capable and reliable sources who may be interested in submitting a proposal to provide multiple Shortwave Broadcast Transmitters including installation, commissioning, and training at the USAGM Kuwait Transmitting Station near Al Jahra, Kuwait. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses concerns capable of supplying high power Shortwave Broadcast Transmitter Systems with an operating range between 5.8 to 21.85 MHz with the capability to change frequencies within 30 seconds or less, A3E Amplitude Modulation with available AMC MDCL, and DRM capable in accordance with ETSI ES201980. Transmitters should have the capability to operate at 250kW carrier power into a 75 Ohm unbalanced load (A3E) and 125 kW Avg. Digital Power with a crest factor of 9 db. Interested parties are encouraged to include their capability to not only provide Shortwave Transmitter systems but also their capabilities to manage installation, commissioning and training on Shortwave Broadcast Transmitter Systems as well as the ability to provide spares and emergency repair parts to minimize transmitter outages. Since all of the work will be performed outside of the continental U.S., no set-asides or socioeconomic preference of any sort will be granted. Response Requirements:� Interested offerors that meet the requirements above are encouraged to submit a Statement of Capability (SOC) in response to this notice.� The SOC must include the following: (a)� At least two (2) contracts (including current point of contact information) in which the interested company served as either the prime contractor or a subcontractor (performing a substantial portion of the work described above). (b)� Provide a statement of your firm's ability to execute projects in Kuwait. (c)� Years of company experience providing Shortwave Transmitter Systems including support services.
