- Description
- Firm Fixed-Price, Non-Personal Healthcare Service, Commercial Item, Contract to provide Emergency Department Management and Staffing Services for the Standing Rock IHS Hospital, Standing Rock, North Dakota. Period of Performance: October 1, 2024 through November 30, 2024 with two (2), two (2) month Option Periods. Period of Performance: Base Period - 10/1/2024 11/30/2024 Option Period One - 12/1/2024 1/31/2025 Option Period Two - 2/1/2025 3/31/2025 A JOFOC for Unusual and Compelling Urgency, FAR 6.302-2, was signed on August 21, 2024. World Wide Medical, LLC. World Wide Medical, LLC currently provides the required services under a contract that expires September 30, 2024. The time it takes for a new contractor firm to submit candidates and for those candidates to be vetted is typically 3-4 months. This vetting process involves all candidates being successfully adjudicated through federal security clearance, including HSPD-12 Security clearance, submission of fingerprints, SLC, Temporary Waiver of Child care addendum and the EAP, the electronic back ground investigation. For licensed independent practitioners, there is the additional requirement of credentialing and privileging by the service unit governing board. World Wide Medical, LLC currently has a vetted and credentialed staff that can assume full performance of services on October 1 without a need for extended ramp-up/transition time, which allows for continuity of vital services at GPAIHS, Fort Yates, North Dakota. World Wide Medical, LLC currently possesses a qualified workforce with the necessary background clearances and credentials that can provide the required services without interruption. Therefore, due to the critical need for the required services and to avoid the negative impacts of a lapse in services, GPAIHS has determined it is in the Governments best interest to award a bridge contract to World Wide Medical, LLC for the time needed to complete the ongoing competitive procurement process for the follow-on multiple-award IDIQ. The Government anticipates that 180 days allows GPAIHS sufficient time to make awards on the new solicitation.
