Description
The Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of the Inspector General is issuing this special notice and REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) on behalf of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) Technology Committee, Small OIG Working Group.� THIS INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY.� It is for information, planning, and market research purposes only and shall not be construed as either a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate, the DoD OIG, or CIGIE.� The purpose of this announcement is to invite audit system software vendors an opportunity to provide virtual product demonstrations to CIGIE�s Technology Committee, Small OIG Working Group. This invitation is open to all business concerns that provide audit software under NAICS code 513210, for software that is commercially available and approved by FedRAMP. This RFI is not a request for competitive proposals; therefore, responses to this notice are not considered offers, and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.� Any information obtained during product demonstrations will be considered market research and may be used as a general concept for a future procurement action. Any specific information shared during the software demonstrations will be treated as proprietary information, if so marked. � The Government is interested in engaging responsible businesses, including small businesses, disadvantaged business concerns, 8(a) Small Business concerns, Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) concerns, Economically Disadvantaged Woman-Owned�Small Business (EDWOSB) concerns, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns, and Historically Underutilized Business zone (HUBZone) small business concerns. BACKGROUND CIGIE is responsible for addressing integrity,�economy, and�effectiveness�issues that transcend individual Government agencies; and increase the�professionalism�and effectiveness of personnel by developing policies,�technical standards, and approaches to aid in the establishment of a well-trained and highly�skilled workforce�in the�Office of Inspector General. CIGIE was established in October 2008 as an independent entity within the United States�executive branch�by the�Inspector General Reform Act (IGRA). The CIGIE Technology Committee�s Small OIG Working Group�s mission is to reflect the interests and needs of small OIGs, provide a forum for sharing knowledge and strategies for success, propose and support initiatives within the Technology Committee, and improve awareness and the use of technology within smaller OIG offices. FedRAMP is a government-wide program that promotes the adoption of secure cloud services across the federal government by providing a standardized approach to security and risk assessment for cloud technologies and federal agencies. OBJECTIVE The objective of this RFI for software demonstrations is to provide representatives of Offices of Inspector General (OIGs) with knowledge on the latest audit software technology that is approved by FedRAMP.� Demonstrations are requested as market research only and there will not be a solicitation issued as a result of demonstrations.�� EVENT DESCRIPTION All demonstrations will be conducted virtually on 17 October 24.� Each product demonstration shall last no longer than 10 minutes to include a short follow-on session for questions and answers.� REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS The point of contact for this RFI is Mr. William Hoyt.� Please contact Mr. Hoyt at whoyt@oig.si.edu�to set up your time slot for 17 October 24.� Requests to participate in this event will be accepted through 4:00 pm EDT, on 9 October 2024.� We look forward to hearing from you and seeing what value your product has to offer our member agencies.� The title subject of the email must be: �CIGIE Audit Software Demo 2024 Registration � Company Name� (example �CIGIE Audit Software Demo 2024 Registration �ABC Company�) and include the first and last name of the company�s point of contact responsible for arranging the demonstration, individual(s) attending, with their contact number and e-mail address. Interested parties are requested to submit Industry Day questions via e-mail to Mr. William Hoyt no later than Monday, 9 October 2024, 12 PM EDT. DEMONSTRATION INSTRUCTIONS Additional instructions may be provided as required during demonstration scheduling. � COSTS All costs incurred to demonstrate the audit software will be the responsibility of the software vendor.� �The Government will not pay for information provided or for travel costs to attend this event. This is not a solicitation.
