Description
NOTICE of SOURCES SOUGHT DFAS, Contract Services Directorate is seeking sources, capability statements, and cost estimates to support the The Non-appropriated Funds Central Payroll System (NAFCPS) Configuration Management IBM iSeries Server Infrastructure System Administrator requirement.� The System Administrator will be required to conduct Security Administration and Maintenance functions on two IBM iSeries Power10 Servers. �Responses from all qualified and experienced sources including small businesses, 8(a) small businesses, service-disabled veteran� owned small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, and Women-owned small businesses are encouraged to respond to the Notice. The ideal provider will have verifiable experience and expertise in completing the requirements outlined within the provided Performance Work Statement (Draft) which include but are not limited to: Program Management, Performance Analysis and Reporting Installing, Configuring, and Maintaining Server Hardware and Software Managing User Account Permissions and Access Control Monitoring System Performance and Troubleshooting Issues Performing Regular Backups and Disaster Recovery Planning Updating and Patching Software Collaborating with other IT teams to support overall infrastructure Security Administration Application Administration Training Note* please see Section 4 of the PWS The capabilities' statement should include no more than three (3) recent and relevant contracts (last 3 years), including the contract number, dollar value, period of performance, and scope of the work. Additionally, responses for the following questions are being sought: In the event you receive a Request for Quote, does your company intend to provide a submission? The draft revised Performance Work Statement (PWS) is attached. Can you please advise if there is anything that needs to be clarified or if any ambiguous language is present? The government anticipates performance to begin April 1, 2025. Utilizing the attached spreadsheet (NAFCPS RFI Pricing Estimate Template) can you please provide a high� level estimate to complete the required Tasks within the allotted performance periods?� Currently, a base plus four (4) option year period is being sought for market research purposes. Can you provide an estimate breakdown of level of effort required to perform the tasks identified in the PWS, if different than listed? Based on your experience with similar projects, are there any additional responsibilities required for security administration and maintenance of the IBM iSeries Server that we did not include on the PWS? What experience do you have in providing system administration and maintenance services for IBM i/OS iSeries Servers?� Share previous experiences.� Can you please describe your approach to server administration and maintenance of an IBM iSeries Server? Please provide your experience level with COBOL and Mainframe Support?
