Description: IAW FAR 13.106-1 (b), Pregl Services Inc was determined to be the only contractor capable of upgrading the vacuum furnace at the Forest Products Laboratory.� The required justification will be posted separately. The upgrades include: adding a Nitrogen line to prevent combustable concentrations of Hydrogen from being discharged from the furnace; installing thermocouples for more accurate monitoring of sample temperatures; and control system updates to allow regulation of opperating temperatures over a narrower range.� See associated justification document for more extensive explanation of scope.
