- Description
- Subscription to Web of Science, Science Citation Index and Social Science Citation Index, Conference Proceeding Citation Index, Current Contents Connect, SciELO Citation Index, Korean Journal Database (unlimited number of users). Web of Science supports discovery with exhaustive indexing of metadata and distinctive editorial capture of cited references and other citation connections. Web of Science is the only platform of its kind, offering fully integrated search and discovery across multidisciplinary, subject-specific and regionally focused citation indexes. The complete Web of Science platform assembles over 150 million records from as many as 34,000 journals, plus adds conferences, books, patents, and data repositories, to offering users unrivaled choice and access to the worlds global data and insightful analytics relating to that content. The reach of Web of Science has continually expanded through the addition of indexes covering emerging global research, plus regional coverage collaborations spotlighting Latin America, Asia, and Europe. These help researchers uncover content from their region, often in their local language and character sets. Web of Science plays an essential role in HITEC research and analysis of non-traditional collectors and threat actors. There is no other tool available that provides comprehensive information on foreign and US researchers research topics, institutional affiliation, subinstitutional affiliations (i.e. research labs), funding sources/grant numbers, and co-authors. Critical targeting information, especially connections between individuals and entities, that previously took analysts hours to find, or was often inaccessible, especially in aggregate, is quickly accessible via Web of Science. HITEC analysts combine this information with other sources into analytic products that inform intelligence and law enforcement operations by DHS and interagency partners.
