- This is a Source Sought notice. This is not a request for proposals and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is conducting market research, and is encouraging all responsive businesses � including all small businesses � to respond to this notice. The information requested herein will be used within the DEA to facilitate the decision making process in acquisition planning, and will not be disclosed outside the agency. The DEA will not be responsible for any cost incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Unsolicited proposals or offers of any kind will not be considered in response to this notice. All information received in response to this notice that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the notice will not be returned. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements of any future solicitation regarding the requirement referenced herein will not be accepted or addressed by the Government. DEA�s Forensic Sciences seeks information related ground transportation of approximately 20 tons, 50 pallets, of boxed drug evidence from the States of California and Arizona to municipal waste combustors in Oklahoma or Indiana either monthly or quarterly. REQUIREMENTS All products shall be the most current and up-to-date model/revision(s) available at the time of delivery. Anticipated maximum quantities to be purchased will be based on evaluation results and agency need.� Responses must indicate if vendors can meet one, some, or all of the requirements listed: ��� �Licensed, bonded and insured� ��� �Truck(s) with equipment for loading ��� �Licensed personnel to load and operate trucks ��� �Security personnel Include additional specifications and considerations, if known: ��� �Personnel should be able to pass a basic background check � RESPONSES In accordance with FAR 5.207, vendors that can illustrate it can meet the Government's requirements as stated in the specifications documentation (See attached) shall include the relative information in a capability statement and submit to the DEA for consideration. Interested vendors who believe it possesses the necessary capabilities to meet the referenced requirements above should submit a technical description of their products/capabilities. Interested vendors� capability statement responses shall include, but not limited to: technical capability of the product(s), and may (i.e., not required) also include relevant past performance.� Interested vendors shall also provide the Government the following information: ��� �Point of Contact ��� �Address ��� �Telephone ��� �Email address ��� �DUNS Number ��� �Tax ID Number ��� �Cage Code ��� �Business Size Category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc.) ��� �Brief summary of the company�s capabilities, personnel, and related interstate transportation experience. ��� �Information regarding previous work similar to this requirement, including work done for other government agencies (include names of the government agencies).
