U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE National Institute of Standards and Technology Prospective Grant of Exclusive Patent License AGENCY: National Institute of Standards and Technology, Department of Commerce ACTION: Notice; prospective grant of exclusive patent license. SUMMARY: This is a notice in accordance with 35 U.S.C. 209(e) and 37 CFR 404.7(a)(1)(i) that the National Institute of Standards and Technology (�NIST�), U.S. Department of Commerce, is contemplating the grant to Great Sky Inc., of Boulder, Colorado, of an exclusive license to NIST's interest in the inventions embodied in the following patents and patent applications: a. United States Patent No. 11,258,415, issued February 22, 2022, and entitled, �NEUROMIMETIC CIRCUIT� [NIST Reference no. 17-001US1]; b. United States Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 62/450,266, filed January 25, 2017, and entitled, �OPTOELECTRONIC NEURAL NETWORKS� [NIST Reference no. 17-001P1]; c. United States Patent No. 11,283,002, issued March 22, 2022, and entitled, �JOSEPHSON JUNCTION CIRCUITS FOR SINGLE-PHOTON OPTOELECTRONIC NEURONS AND SYNAPSES� [NIST Reference no. 18-010CP1]; d. United States Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 62/720,871, filed August 21, 2018, and entitled, �JOSEPHSON JUNCTION CIRCUITS FOR SINGLE-PHOTON OPTOELECTRONIC NEURONS AND SYNAPSES� [NIST Reference no. 18-010P1]; e. United States Patent No. 10,236,433, issued March 19, 2019, and entitled, �THERMAL IMPEDANCE AMPLIFIER� [NIST Reference no. 18-002US1]; f. United States Patent No. 11,480,736, issued October 25, 2022, and entitled, �FIBER-TO-CHIP COUPLER� [NIST Reference no. 19-017US1]; g. United States Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 62/958,967, filed January 9, 2020, entitled, �FIBER-TO-CHIP COUPLER� [NIST Reference no. 19-017P1]; h. United States Patent No. 11,468,000, issued October 11, 2022, and entitled �FLUXONIC PROCESSOR AND PROCESSING PHOTONIC SYNAPSE EVENTS� [NIST Reference no. 19-030US1]; i. United States Provisional Patent Application Serial No.62/820,554, filed March 19, 2019, entitled, �FLUXONIC PROCESSING OF PHOTONIC SYNAPSE EVENTS� [NIST Reference no. 19-030P1]; j. United States Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 63/467,542, filed May 18, 2023, entitled, �READOUT OF ARRAYS OF SUPERCONDUCTING SINGLE-PHOTON DETECTORS THROUGH INTEGRATION WITH SUPERCONDUCTING AND SEMICONDUCTING ELECTRONIC CIRCUITS� [NIST Reference no. 22-046P1]; k. United States Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 63/667,954, filed July 5, 2024, entitled, �SEMICONDUCTOR JUNCTION WITH LATERAL HETEROSTRUCTURE� [NIST Reference no. 22-059P3]; l. United States Non-provisional Patent Application Serial No. 18/667,298, filed May 17, 2024, and entitled, �SUPERCONDUCTOR-SEMICONDUCTOR CIRCUIT FOR READOUT OF SUPERCONDUCTOR CURRENT-STORAGE ELEMENTS� [NIST Reference no. 23-023US1]; m. United States Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 63/467,551, filed May 18, 2023, entitled, �SUPERCONDUCTOR-SEMICONDUCTOR CIRCUIT FOR TRANSDUCING CURRENT TO CHARGE FOR READOUT OF SUPERCONDUCTOR CURRENT-STORAGE ELEMENTS� [NIST Reference no. 23-023P1]; n. International Patent Application No. PCT/US2024/030058, filed May 17, 2024, and entitled, �SUPERCONDUCTING OPTOELECTRONIC CIRCUIT TO RECORD PHOTON ARRIVAL TIME� [NIST Reference no. 23-036PCT]; and o. United States Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 63/467,534, filed May 18, 2023, and entitled, �SUPERCONDUCTING OPTOELECTRONIC CIRCUIT TO RECORD PHOTON ARRIVAL TIME� [NIST Reference no. 23-036P1]. The prospective exclusive license may be granted unless, within fifteen (15) days from the date of this published Notice, NIST receives written evidence and argument which establish that the grant of the license would not be consistent with the requirements of 35 U.S.C. 209 and 37 CFR 404.7. Dates: Only written comments or applications for a license (or both) which are received by the NIST Technology Partnerships Office on or before February 18, 2025, will be considered.
