Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor a promise to issue an RFP or other solicitation. Furthermore, those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback about its submission, other than acknowledgment of receipt. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is not currently seeking proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay any cost incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the expense of the respondent. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. All submissions become the property of the Federal Government and will not be returned. CBP is seeking information from interested vendors that could provide local indoor firing range services. Location of firing range shall be within a 20-mile radius of Norfolk Customhouse: 101 E. Main Street, Norfolk, VA 23510. The facility shall accommodate CBP's required weapons training and qualification initiatives. The range shall need to accommodate qualifications for up to 135 CBP Officers on a quarterly basis. The Contractor shall provide a twenty-five (25) yard firing range indoor facility, which shall include: a minimum of eight (8) individual firing positions, Equipment Cleaning Room, Conference/Classroom seating a minimum of 14 students that can be utilized as a classroom as well as a mat room, and available restrooms. The firing positions/lanes used by CBP officers should be restricted from public view. The Contractor shall provide an indoor firing range that will accommodate both standard lead, jacketed and frangible ammunition and must accommodate the following ammunition: 9mm and .40 caliber handgun rounds; .223 Remington rounds; 12-gauge shotgun rounds (buckshot and slugs). Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to the Contracting Officer and will be answered by posting an addendum to this RFI. Responses are due no later than February 19, 2025, at 3:00 P.M ET. Responses must be submitted via e-mail in MS Word or Adobe PDF format to the Contracting Officer, Robert Kay at robert.j.kay@cbp.dhs.gov.
