- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Note: This acquisition is subject to the availability of funds. INTRODUCTION: The AFCEC has a requirement to upgrade a 2024 Ford F-550 Dual Rear Wheel cab and chassis truck with a new steel utility truck bed. The Government is seeking a contractor to provide and install a new steel utility truck bed on the vehicle as specified below. The AQD is issuing this competitive RFQ as 100% set aside for small business. OVERVIEW OF THE REQUIREMENT: This acquisition is to provide and install the exact required commercial end item of supply with the required specifications below on or before December 1, 2025. The Government intends to drop-off and pick-up the vehicle at the location of installation given the driving distance does not exceed 100 miles from the address below: Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson 7212 12th Street JBER, Alaska 99506 Vehicle Specifications: VIN: 1FD0W5HT4PED66045 Model Year: 2024 Build Date: August 2023 Cab to Axle: 60� Wheelbase: 179.8� Frame Rail Width 34.2� Service Truck Bed Specifications and Requirements: The service truck bed to be procured and installed must meet or exceed the following specifications: Dimensions & Structural Requirements: Length: 9 Feet 4 Inches Width: Minimum 94 Inches Frame Material: Structural skirted steel Headache Rack: Notched design with steel tube and window bars Flooring: 1/8 Inch steel, tread plate or diamond plate Frame Rails: 4 Inch structural channel steel Tailgate: Fold-down design with latch Spare Tire Storage 4 Storage Compartments with one being large enough for a drawer toolbox. Fuel Access: Dual tank Angled fuel fillers DEF Access: External Fill Towing & Electrical: Rear Bumper: Rated for 18,000+ lbs. with 2 � Inch receiver hitch Gooseneck Hitch: 30,000 lbs.-rated 2 5/16 Inch ball Wiring: 7-pin plug in gooseneck well 7-pin female receiver plug with adapter Lighting & Accessories: All lighting must meet DOT standards Integrated license plate mount Mudflap brackets included Ability to mount a Transfer/Auxiliary fuel tank. Installation must comply with all applicable safety standards, and all wiring, fuel access points, and hitch components must be fully functional and tested prior to delivery.
