Institutes of Health intends to negotiate with the World Health
Organization, Geneva, Switzerland, for a contract to maintain and
coordinate research and training activities in relation to the
prevention of blindness and the utilization of eye care services in
developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific.
The announcement that appeared on 2/26/96 is modified to include the
following information: This is a three-year continuation of contract
N01-EY-9-2103. Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1), as set forth in FAR
6.302-1. Duplication of cost to the Government and unacceptable delays
make competition unfeasible for this portion of the study. See
