- Description
- Supervisor of Shipbuilding, C&R, USN intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 13.302 to Rolls-Royce Naval Marine, Inc., 110 Norfolk Street, Walpole, MA 02081 for the following: Item 0001: Refurbishment of Starboard Valve Rod Assembly, P/N: 115656048OVHL. Refurbishment to consist of: (1) Weld all spiders which are out of tolerance and remachine if necessary; (2) Remove all valve rod couplings; (3) Weld up coupling set screw locking holes on male end of each valve rod section and remachine if necessary. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed acquisition is being processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures on an other than full and open competitive basis. It is anticipated that solicitation will be issued on 02 June 2003. It is an ticipated that award will take place on or before 09 June 2003.
