Z -- RENOVATION OF THREE LIMESTONE CONTACT TANKS SOL 51SBNB5C8651 DUE 040795 POC Elaine Libman (301) 975-6331/CO: Pauline Mallgrave (301) 975-6330 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for the renovation of three limestone contact tanks located on the NIST site in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to remove and to replace existing limestone in laboratory waste contact tanks L-17, L-18, and L-19 and to dispose of the removed materials. The contractor shall comply with Federal and State of Maryland regulations for entry into confined spaces. The existing limestone contact tank contents are being tested by a certified laboratory to confirm that the residual limestone is neither a hazardous nor a regulated waste. Specifications and drawings will be available with the solicitation package. It is anticipated that the award will be a firm fixed price contract, 100% set-aside for small business concerns whose average annual receipts for the preceding three fiscal years have not exceeded $17 million. The SIC Code is 1623. Work shall be performed and completed during the scheduled NIST site service outage from 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 1995, through 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 1995.
