Thompson, (907)772-5823 The Forest Service proposes to award paving and road construction work to the Northern Timber Corporation through an existing State of Alaska highway contract. The work will be done in conjunction with the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities Zimovia Highway project on Wrangell Island. Award amount is $42,000. Work consists of grading and shaping the existing aggregate base course, furnishing and placing a 2'' thickness of D1 aggregate surface course and asphalt concrete paving (2'' thickness) on the Pat Creek bridge on the Zimovia Highway. The amount of road that will be paved is approximately 1000 feet (0.19 mil). Estimated quantity of D1 aggregate is 200 cubic yards and asphalt concrete is 280 tons. Award will be made on March 17, 1995. (0048)
