This project involves construction and repairs in and along the Bear Kill waterway. The work requires activities such as stream diversion, dewatering and temporary cofferdams in order to demolish and replace large, stream containing retaining walls without jeopardizing existing building construction in the immediate area. In addition, partially undermined existing retaining walls have to be repairs by operations in virtually inaccessible areas. Safety requirements are a major factor. The General contractor must be highly experienced in this specialized work in order to properly develop the protective measures required for this project. The magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Duration of the project is 540 calendar days from the receipt of Notice to Proceed. This is UNRESTRICTED procurement.
