SOL DABT39-95-B-0038 DUE 080795 POC Contract Specialist Dewayne Cochrane (405) 442-4315 (Site Code W804A6) Principal features of this project are as follows: Furnish all required plant, labor, equipment, and materials to complete all work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for the following: Remove the two steam boilers from the existing boiler room, and the existing controls system. Remove the existing 18 through the wall A/C units, and the existing heating steam fin tube radiators, and the existing steam piping except where it can be reused. Remove the four existing steam heating and ventilation units suspended from the ceiling of the assembly room. Remove the steam heating ventilation air handler serving the basement storage area. Remove all steam traps and accessories, and steam condensate return pumps, and circuits for 18 thru-wall A/C units. Remove circuits for four ceiling hung fan and coils, and circuit for steam condensate return pumps. Install new heating and cooling fan coil units in areas now served by through wall units and two additional locations in the basement. Install new cabinet heating convectors at the entry to replace the existing, and new hot water fin tubes to replace existing units in the toilets. Eliminate heating unit from the ceiling of the shower room. Patch wall openings where through the wall units have been removed. Install a new air cooled chiller to serve the fan coil units, and install new chilled water piping from the chiller to the boiler room. Install new 2-pipe heating/cooling piping from the boiler room to all of the equipment. Reuse steam piping where possible. Install condensate drains from the fan coils to outdoors, and install new OSA intake grilles through the wall to the new fan coil units. Install a new chilled water pump, and a new hot water boiler, and a new hot water pump. Install a second combustion air grille in the wall of the boiler room. Flush the existing piping reused. Install one shot chemical feeder on the hot water piping system. Turn window units over to the owner. Install a new concrete pad outside of the exterior boiler room stairs for new air cooled chiller. Rebalance entire facility air side, grilles and units, and entire facility water side at coils. Add backflow preventer to boiler make-up water. Install a new hot water heating and ventilating unit to serve the basement storage room. Extend new ductwork the length of the storage room at the ceiling line. Add new fan coils with cooling to two rooms in the basement which are presently heated and ventilated only. Install condensate pumps for drainage removal. Insulate piping. Install wire, conduit, and circuit breaker for chilled water pump, and install motor starter and non-fused disconnect for chilled water pump. Install wire, conduit, and circuit breaker for hot water pump, and motor starter and non-fused disconnect for hot water pump. Install wire, conduit, and circuit breakers for chiller, and install non-fused disconnect for chiller. Install electrical connection for 20 fan coil units. The foregoing outline of principal features does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all materials required by the specifications and to perform other work items which may be required or associated with this type of work. The estimated issue date for this project is 07/06/95. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 will be charged for each bid package requested by a bidder/offeror. Such fees shall be in the form of check or postal money order payable to U.S. Treasury and mailed to Directorate of Contracting, ATTN: Contract Support Division, ATZR-QD, PO Box 33189, Fort Sill, OK. 73503-0189. This project is unrestricted and ranges between $100,000 and $250,000.(0173)
