Z - Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the repair by replacement of switchgear SWB-1, SWB-2 and related equipment. Work is to include the replacement of seventeen DH and DHP medium voltage air breakers to the latest type vacuum technology. Removal and replacement of secondary medium voltage power cables from the breakers to their existing loads, including installation of ground conductors where absent. Existing doors shall be repaired and updated to insure all controls are operational. Retrofit of the existing tie switch located in the switchgear. The work shall be performed by an Electrical Contractor who has medium voltage experience in installation and repairs. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable DMA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 365 days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. The contractor shall also be required to expedite the construction schedule whenever possible without additional cost to the Government. The approximate cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This work is at the facilities of Defense Mapping Agency, 3200 South Second Street, St. Louis, MO.
