Government wants space in Kansas City. The United States Government is
surveying for consortiums interested in constructing two buildings on
designated sites in metropolitan Kansas City. The structures will
house Regional Offices of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and
the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Each building will require
approximately 203,000 rentable square feet, plus parking, to be leased
for ten years with renewal options. The lease(s) will contain options
for Government purchase after ten years. Interested parties may
compete for one or both projects. Sites will be provided by the two
Kansas Citys in each of their respective central business districts
about two miles apart. Buildings must meet requirements of the
Government Solicitation for Offers. To promote procurement
understanding, a pre-proposal conference will be held in Kansas City
after the Solicitation for offers is issued. Developers are advised
this notice is an opportunity for inquiry, not an invitation to bid.
