The Memphis-Shelby Country Airport Authority plans to construct a 5750 foot long by 75 foot wide concrete taxiway, a concrete holding bay and several taxiway turnouts. The project will be constructed on a previously prepared rough grade and an underground storm water drainage system. The scope of work consists generally of fine grading, subgrade preparation, installation of underdrain systems and trench drains, soil cement subbase, crushed aggregate and cement treated base, portland cement concrete pavement, joint sealing, bituminous pavement, airfield signage and marking, the installation of airfield electrical lighting and underground ducts, the installation of electrical lighting regulators in a vault, erosion control, turfing, and other related work all as shown on the drawings and/or in the specifications.
