360-956-2300 This is a trail construction project of the Spider Lake
Trail, No. 879. The project consists of approximately 9,049 L.F. of new
trail construction, one 40-foot log stringer bridge, one 39-foot
foot-log bridge and one 76-foot foot-log bridge, 211 feet of turnpike
with fabric, 145 feet of pit run aggregate surfacing, 2 switchbacks,
123 L.F. of trail reconstruction, and miscellaneous items. The
stringers for the log stringer bridge are not adjacent to the site and
will require a log truck to move them from the designated tree to the
project area and then skidded overland to the bridge site. The
projects are located on the Hood Canal Ranger District, Mason County,
Washington. Estimated start work is 10/01/95. Contract time is 397
calendar days. Government price range is between S25,000 and S100,000.
This project is 100% set-aside for labor-surplus area concerns.
