Protection Agency's (US EPA) National Risk Management Research
Laboratory, Subsurface Protection and Remediation Division, located at
the Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research Center in Ada, OK is seeking
to acquire a high sensitivity, field-expandable automated ion analyzer
system for the analysis of a broad range of inorganic chemical
parameters. The basic system shall consist of two independent
autoanalyzers, each operating by flow injection analysis (FIA)
principles. The ion chromatographic system shall operate simultaneously
with and independently of the FIA modules and share peripherals such as
the autosampler, data station and the sampling pump. The system shall
provide for the analysis of phosphates, Kjeldahl nitrogen, ammonia,
nitrate/nitrite, sulfide and bromide chemistries and be able to process
up to 120 samples/hour at concentrations down to the sub-ppb level. The
proposed acquisition will be processed as a negotiated Firm-Fixed
-Price, Commercial Item Contract underFAR Part 12. Installation of the
complete system shall be provided within 60 days of delivery of the
system to EPA Ada, OK . Contractor shall provide appropriate training
as identified in the solicitation within a month after installation of
the complete system. Deliver is anticipated to be within 150 days of
contract award. The Standard Commercial Warranty is anticipated to be
appropriate. However all terms and condition shall be a 1 (one) year
warranty policy. The solicitation will be processed as a commercial
item, under FAR Part 12 procedures. The RFP will be posted on the
Internet for downloading by accessing EPA's home page at : "http://
www.epa.gov/oam/cinn_cmd/ ". A limited number of hard copies will be
available for mailings. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be
available on the Internet by 4/02/97. All requests for the solicitation
