It will require the construction of eight dikes including the site preparation of approximately 3.9 acres for dike construction, approximately 3.9 acres for borrow areas, and a total seeded area of approximately 10 acres. The seeding area includes approximately 2.2 acres of existing roadway that connects all of the dikes into a loop access road. The estimated earthfill volume for this job is 13,317 cubic yards in approximately 10,063 linear feet of dikes with a 12 foot wide top and side slopes of 2.5:1 (H:V) on both sides. The dike shall also include a keyway as shown on the typical section. Three 24" diameter X 40' corrugated aluminum pipes shall be furnished and istalled. Estimated performance time is 40 calendar days. Price range is $25,000 -- $100,000.
