Aircraft Division (NAWC-AD) intends to procure Contractor Advisory and
Assistance Services, specifically logistics engineering and analytical
services to aid in the research, development, test, evaluation,
deployment, and in-service support of various Tactical Airborne
(TACAIR), Reconnaissance (RECCE), and Crew Systems Programs and
equipment. These logistics engineering and analytical services include
such areas as Reliability Maintainability and Supportability (RM&S)
and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), management and planning,
logistics development plans, logistics analyses, logistics test and
evaluation, and field service logistics. It is intended that this
solicitation result in an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity
(IDIQ) type contract. The anticipated contract period of performance
includes a base year plus four options years averaging approximately
57,000 hours per year. This procurement will be conducted under full
and open competition. Due to the natureof the Government's requirement,
the contractor must maintain facilities that are located within
thirty-five (35) miles of the main gate of Naval Air Station at
Patuxent River, and within the counties of Prince George's, Calvert,
Charles, and St. Mary's, Maryland. To be considered for award, the
contractor must have a SECRET security facilities clearance. The Navy
intends to release the Request for Proposal (RFP) via the Internet.
