Service, Dinosaur NP, Colorado, has a need to stabilize three
structure, the Yampa district maintenance building, the park
headquarters building, and the headquater's detached comfort station
against differential settlement. All are founded on a collapsing soil.
In addition, specific repairs and rehabilitation will be performed on
the maintenance building under this contract. The maintenance building
is a one story concrete masonry block structure that includes
intermediate structural steel frames. The headquarter's buildings are
one story frame structures with stone veneer exterior. During their
thirty plus year lives, diiferential settlement has been a continuing
detriment to these buildings. On-going repairs are necessary to fill
and mend cracks, level floors, and environmentally seal. The structures
shall be stabilized/underpinned by the process known as compaction
grouting. This process consolidates foundation soils by injecting
portland cement grout beneath the structures' foundations and
displacing material surrounding the grout. The subject structures are
located two miles east of the township of Dinosaur in north western
