This project consists of the reconstruction of several streets to include grading, aggregate base, bituminous surfacing, curb and gutter, walks, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer located on the Minnesota Air National Guard Base at Duluth, Minnesota. Estimated price range of the proposed contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A firm fixed-price contract is contemplated. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this work is 1611, Highway and Street Construction. This acquisition is unrestricted regarding business size and all responsible sources are encouraged to bid. Bids will be evaluated under the new DoD test program giving bid-evaluation preference to small disadvantaged business concerns in construction acquisitions (DFARS 252.219-7008). This synopsis concurrently serves as a pre-solicitation notice. Solicitation will be available on or about 1 August 1997, with Bid Opening date on or about 1 September 1997.
