2369. This is a firm fixed price contract. This project will install
new gas engine driven chiller in the central plant building 1201 at
Hanscom AFB, MA The principal items of work include but are not limited
to extension of the existing gas line, installation of gas chiller,
cooling tower, condenser water pump, gas chiller primary pump,
excavation, site work, paving, replacement and installation of piping
system, structural, metering and instrumentation expansion, and
connection to the existing Trane Tracer Control system, installation of
complete control system to connect the new gas chiller and cooling
tower to to the existing system, remote monitoring system for dial up,
interior and exterior electric, factory certification of equipment,
testing and balancing, special commissioning. The cooling tower shall
function during winter and connect to the existing economizer. The
following are options to this contract. The options consist of the
repair of the chilled water lines within and adjacent to the central
plant building plus within various buildings at Hanscom AFB. The
principal items of work include but are not limited to replacement of
designated present piping within the plant building constructing a
concrete vault adjacent to the plant building to house new piping and
valves, replacing designated buried plastic piping in proximity to the
plant with steel piping, installing new chilled water pumps and
differencial pressure control system, replacement of present three-way
control valves wth two -way control valves and tempeture control
systems in various buildings, connection of existing Johnson Control
system to existing Trane Tracer system, insulation of all new piping,
associated wiring and accessories, plus any necessary patching,
landscaping and paving. The period of performance will be 16 months for
the basic and 120 days for the options. The magnitude of the project
will be between $1,000,000 and 5,000,000. Firms interested in receiving
