The United States Coast Guard Research and Development Center, Groton, CT has a requirement for steel fabrication services at its Fire and Safety Test Detachment located in Mobile, AL. Services are to be provided at the F&STD (CG Base Mobile) and its test site on Little Sand Island in Mobile Bay. The Coast Guard expects to award a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with provisions for placing fixed price task orders. Requirements are expected to be 3,000 hours annually for an estimated 15,000 hours for the entire five years. The contractor shall be required to respond to task orders within 48 hours of award. This acquisition is further identified as a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The size standard is $7,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Code is 1799. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
