located on Slater's Fork of Catron Creek, near the Gulston Post Office
in Harlan County, Kentucky. Work consists of the reclamation of
approximately 24 acres that has been used as a disposal site for coal
mine refuse. Items of work include: Pollution control, 1 job;
Vegetative Treatment, 24.1 Ac.; Channel Excavation, 1386 CY;
Observation Pit Excavation, 1 job; Diversion 4360 LF; Channel Liner,
947 CY; Riprap Chutes and Diversion Outlets, 1720 CY; Geotextile, 6465
SY; Land Reconstruction 24.0 Ac; Coal Refuse Extinguishment, 5000 CY.
Estimated Cost is: $250,000 to $500,000. Performance time is 100
calendar days. Bids are due on Tuesday, July 7, 1998 at 1:00 p.m.
(EST), local time. A group site showing and pre-bid conference will be
held on Tuesday, June 23, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at the Natural Resources
